Dear Life
I felt myself getting really upset the other day and I wrote a negative piece which is now deleted. I noticed an increase in negativity not only with myself but with those around me as the country heads in a direction that none of us believe to be good.
Philippians 4:8 NIV
Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.
The Word of God has instructed me (us) to THINK POSITIVE. This does not mean we put our heads in the sand and ignore what is going on but we do not have to become irate or distraught over what we see and hear.
John 16:31-33 The Message
Jesus answered them, “Do you finally believe? In fact, you’re about to make a run for it—saving your own skins and abandoning me. But I’m not abandoned. The Father is with me. I’ve told you all this so that trusting me, you will be unshakable and assured, deeply at peace. In this godless world you will continue to experience difficulties. But take heart! I’ve conquered the world.”
My conclusion? God knew things would be like this. He told those who believe in Him to stay close focus on the good. We are going to get through this difficult time.
America made some bad decisions and we are suffering the consequences for it but because His children live here we have the promise of a better day. God is a Father who does not neglect, abandon or abuse His family and He HAS taken care of things. He already conquered the world and He has blessed America.
What we as citizens of this world are to do THINK POSITIVE and ACT POSITIVE. Marsha Randolph
