IN CASE OF AN EMERGENCY DO YOU HAVE ENOUGH FAITH TO TRUST GOD? Crisis; a turning point often associated with a series of negative events that have reached its’ peak. A person enters a crisis when the ambulance removes a son from some unknown location after a drug overdose. A person enters crisis when a biopsy that was done after the annual mammogram reveals breast cancer. A person enters crisis when bill collectors begin calling the house threatening to take away the car. Crisis occurs when a life event reaches a crescendo.
Common in crisis is the number of “theys” involved in telling an individual what to do. “They’ will tell you how a friend of theirs went through the same thing. “They” will tell you how this friend suffered great losses because of the “exact same thing”. “They” will repeat, incorrectly, a bible verse that is suppose to give you some encouragement despite the hopelessness of your situation. Our biggest problem as a people is listening to what “they” say.
Not at all! Let God be true, and every human being a liar. As it is written: “So that you may be proved right when you speak and prevail when you judge.” Romans 3:4 NIV
The problem many of us have is that the bible does not always line up with what “they” tell us. The doctors have statistics to back up their reports. The bank account verifies the lack of money. The police report confirms the status of a child. Yet, God wants us to press forward hoping for the best.
Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up. Galatians 6:9 NIV
Unfortunately, many of us are tired. Not only has the situation caught us off guard but the persuasiveness of what “they” say weakens our ability to fight.
Your relationship with Father God will determine how you handle any problem particularly the ones in which man says are not going to end to your advantage. Faith, what we believe in our hearts, comes by what we listen to (Romans 10:17). Often we do not have enough of God’s word in us to believe what He has said about our situation.
Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26 NIV
If the question is: In case of an emergency; do you have enough faith to trust God? Then for many of us the answer is: NO!
The good news is that God is merciful
4 But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, 5 made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions—it is by grace you have been saved. 6 And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, 7 in order that in the coming ages he might show the incomparable riches of his grace, expressed in his kindness to us in Christ Jesus. 8 For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— Ephesians 2:4-8NIV
Oftentimes our problem is not God who wants to help us but Satan who wants to destroy us.
10 The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. John 10:10 NIV
8 Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. 1 Peter 5:8 NKJ
It is truly a battle between you and the negative report. Again there is good news: because you are His child He will fight for you (1 Samuel 17:47) and win ( 1 Corinthians 15:57)! God has promised: good health, healing from diseases (all of them); financial assistance; blessed children, peace, joy and so much more.
In case of an emergency you can overcome the most difficult of situations if you trust in the Lord God with all of your heart and lean not to your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him and He will lead you to the solution you want. (Proverbs 3:5-6) Of course, I am not telling you to ignore your doctor. Neither the doctor, the bank or “they” have the final say when it comes to God’s children.
7 casting all your care upon Him, for He cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7 NKJ
If you are not in a personal crisis right now I would suggest you: establish a relationship with Father God through His Son Jesus; study the word, fellowship in a Christ centered church, and stop listening to people.
If you are in crisis the above applies: establish a relationship with Father God through His Son Jesus, study the Word, fellowship in a Christ centered church and stop listening to people. In addition ask someone pray for you and pray with you. Feel free to email me your prayer request if needed. Nowayztired@gmail.com
