I do not like talking about farting. I agreed to read this book because my curiosity was greater than the potential embarrassment of discussing farts in public. However once I read “The fear of farting,
is synonymous with the fear of letting go,…” I knew I had to read “Fart in the Wind” by Vivian Gail. It took me a while to get past the first two chapters because I laughed so much I had to put the
book down and share the passage with someone. This inevitably led to a discussion. Books that lead to conversations are the best types of books to read.
“Fart In The Wind” compares flatulence and its’ different manifestations with the consequences of releasing or suppressing emotions. Incorporating spiritual wisdom with her intellectual knowledge she poetically guides the reader through the process of emotional cleansing.
Putting the conversation of farting aside Ms. Gale discusses a very serious subject that of learning how to be yourself at all times. For many this means first addressing uncomfortable situations, learning to let go of some things and learning to embrace others.
I recommend this book. (The reader should know that I am a bible purest and do not endorse incorporating other teachings with biblical principles. Though Ms. Gale does not suggest that
you do she does mention non-Christ centered ideologies.) Marsha L. Randolph
I was provided a complementary copy of this book in exchange for an unbiased review.
