As I read the ebook format of “Pray for Me”: the Power of Praying for Others  by Kenneth H. Carter Jr.    I could not help but think: “ I need to get a hardcopy of this”. I am very cautious when it comes to people, no matter what their title, telling me how to be a better anything so my guards were up as I began reading. Though I am a lover of learning I prefer to come to my own conclusions, especially when it comes to faith, I am relieved to report “Pray for Me” is not a “how to” but a “why to” guide.

By sharing Old Testament and New Testament examples of  prayer in “Pray for Me” the author allows the individual to grasp how various intercessors used prayer.  Readers are guided to meditate on various concept  through an “Invitation to reflect” this is where a question may be asked or an idea presented without an author given answer.

“A final lesson: where our energies end, God’s power begins.” (location 313 of 115)

I recommend this book to those who consider themselves intercessors as well as those who want to improve their prayer life.  I believe that this book would make an excellent tool for teaching prayer and for me it is a great book for my personal collection.

I received a complimentary copy of Pray for Me by Kenneth H Carter Jr. in exchange for an honest review.
